Parish Walk Fundraiser

Psychic Evening

November 2024

Another psychic evening fundraiser will be held at Douglas Golf Club on Thursday 14th November. All previous events have been sold out, so if you want to attend, buy your tickets quickly by calling Val Crowe on 466770 or by sending her a PM on Facebook.
Wheel & Walk #7 – 18th May 2024

May 2024

The sun shone gloriously at the NSC for our largest ever Wheel & Walk. Once again, we had tremendous support from friends and family & 170 people took part, up from 140 last year. A whopping £6,000 has been raised, including a donation of £1,000 from an MS patient, who wishes to remain anonymous, plus a further £1,000 donation from Keller plc. Keller, who had a staff member take part, is a client of Marsh Isle of Man. Derek Patience was a Marsh employee for 25 years and Marsh have been great supporters of the event each year.
Laxey Sponsored Walk

April 2024

Vicky Quilliam organised a sponsored walk from Laxey beach up to the summit of Snaefell. Vicky is doing a series of fundraising events, including the parish walk and a parachute jump in aid of the IOM MS Society. Her sister Mandy has MS, and her uncle and grandmother also had MS. A number of family members and friends took part in the walk.

Psychic Evening

April 2024 Fundraiser

Another very successful psychic evening held last week at Pulrose Golf Club last week, the third psychic evening excellently organised by MS Society member Val Crowe raised £1,182.
New Year’s Day Peel Dip Fundraiser For MS Society

January 2024

The Peel Dip have given a donation to the IOM MS Society every year since the first Peel Dip in 1983. MS member Christine Eames was instrumental in establishing the Peel Dip and each year 1/3 of the total funds raised is donated to the MS Society; 1/3 to the RNLI and a 1/3 to a charity chosen by the organisers. Over the years, quite a few hardy souls with MS have done the Peel Dip. In 2022, the Peel Dip organisers made a donation of £1,000 and a donation of £1,100 in 2923.
Fundraiser for IOM MS Society
2023 An extraordinary feat of endurance and mental strength by Orran Smith who ran 268 miles in the Montand Spine in just 5 days in horrendous freezing conditions. Orran raised over £11,000 for the MS Society.
Wheel & Walk at the NSC
May 2022
The MS Society held its 5th Wheel & Walk at the NSC in glorious sunshine on the morning of Saturday 14th May 2022, where more than 110 people took part - a number of whom have MS. Sincere thanks to many friends and family members for their huge support for this event which has raised £4,000 for the MS Society IOM.
